I went to see The Roommate on September fifth. The first 45 minutes were great. The characters were engaging a witty. The timing of their responses added to the performance. Then however, the photographers and the background noise interfered with the magic of the performance. Cameras made noises as they were moved around on the ledge at the back of the orchestra. I think a walking frame was knocked over a one point as there was a crashing sound. It was difficult to determine where background conversations and laughter was coming from. Were people talking behind the orchestra seats? Were they in the foyer of the theater? Or were staff too close to microphones in a sound box? Several members of the audience around me were trying to figure out what was interrupting the performance. Initially we attempted to ignore that sounds but as they continued people started to look around more and more. When the show was over, the doors opposite the stage were opened and there were people sitting on the steps ground there. Perhaps that contributed to the noise. I would advise people not to sit at the back of the orchestra seats as it is too noisy. The Roommate is worth seeing but please select your seats wisely.

The Booth Theatre is a historic Broadway theater located at 222 West 45th Street in Manhattan. It has a rich history dating back to 1913 has been the home to so many famous shows.I just saw Kimberly Akimbo and was so happy I was able to see it before it closed. Had great center orchestra seats just 9 rows back. Perfect view and the seats were comfortable.

First week in March, I snagged tickets to catch Kimberly Akimbo on a Friday evening.Booth theatre is one of the smaller venues, where there appears to be no bad seat. However we were seated in the orchestra, so we had clear sight lines to the stage.Upon entry, you go thru the metal detectors (unfortunately standard for the times we live in) and scan your tickets. There was a very unpleasant older woman ordering people to put their doggie bags on the floor @ the door (most people go for a pre-theatre dinner) and retrieve them after the show. That was an absolutely no for me, once out of my sight my food can no longer be consumed. The show was sweet, but a bit disjointed in away. It didn't really have a flow. A teenager with a condition that ages her rapidly, dealing with some teenage things. No clarity on her disease or the lack luster parental guidance she is raised under. While a wayward aunt who is an adult comes along and influences kids to commit a crime. There were some laughs in a production that is seemingly heavy.Overall I enjoyed the show, as the 2023 Tony Award winner for Best Musical, I respected the cast and the production but have to admit I just didn't love it.Just A Note:-Do not bring your left over food to the theatre.-Kimberly Akimbo closes on 4/28/24-While I am happy that I did not pay ticket price for this show, there are people who love it, check it out before it closes and see for yourself.

This is such a cute theatre. We sat in orchestra by the wall. Just be aware: the seating is tight with little leg room. The rows are long so accessibility isn’t ideal. There are bathrooms on the lower level. All the staff are helpful and friendly! We saw Kimberly Akimbo which was an awkward funny comedy.

The Booth Theatre, with its intimate setting and historical charm, provides a perfect backdrop for the Broadway show "Kimberly Akimbo." This unique and touching musical, set against the theater's cozy ambiance, brings to life the story of Kimberly, a teenager with a rare condition causing her to age four times faster than normal. The production brilliantly navigates through themes of family dynamics, adolescence, and the universal quest for connection and meaning, all while infused with humor and heart. This show, in particular, leaves a lasting impression, offering a blend of laughter, tears, and a deep reflection on the beauty and fragility of life. Thank you for a great show.

Smaller theater that gives you great views of the stage from essentially anywhere in the theatre. Sat on the mezzanine floor row D and had a great view of the stage even for someone short like me. Got the two for one tickets for Broadway week for Kimberly akimbo total was about $150 for two seats.Oh my goodness, I was blown away by the depth of the story and how they portrayed the characters to represent real life and the struggles people go through with a lot of comedy to lighten up the mood. I prefer the story over the musical aspect and this was a top performance by all the characters.

What a great time we had seeing Kimberly Akimbo in this quaint theater. Staff very professional.. theater clean and comfortable. We'll cared for over the years..I went with a group and had the pleasure of doing a post review to see what we all felt. Be aware this play will be experienced differently by most even when they are sitting right next to you.Keep an eye out for Bonnie milligan who is playing the Aunt. Dynamic and strong vocals. We will definitely be seeing her in more places.

Very good view from the mezzanine. Seats are comfortable and have a pretty generous amount of legroom. Bathrooms are kept clean and not too crowded. Went to see Kimberly Akimbo here which wasn’t outstanding, but nonetheless was entertaining. Would recommend.

I sat in the Mezzanine Row C seat 4. It's a very good view of entire stage. See attached picture of view from seat. Theatre is roomy good leg room for an older theatre. I enjoyed Kimberly Akimbo musical. The orchestra is on top of the stage. You can view them well in Mezzanine area. All the seats look like they offer a great view from Mezzanine to Balcony. The seats go up like stairs so you should be able to see very well. Suggest transit to get to theatre. No street parking in this area. Only parking garages. If your going to use a parking garage get their super early due to neighborhood traffic your right down the block from Broadway where it's high tourist area and traffic can be insane.

The Booth theatre is small enough that almost any orchestra seat is good, and the mezzanine overhang is far enough back. The stage is relatively small, but with the right production it’s not an issue. The seats are not comfortable but that’s an issue with any Broadway theater.I like that the urinals have dividers between them, a feature not every Broadway theatre made sure to add.

We saw Kimberly Akimbo here last night. Loved it. Theatre was small but well configured...no view obstruction even though we were in the balcony. The folks in front of us did not block our view... bathrooms on upper floor and lower. Easy out. Theatre is right on Shuberts Alley and close to Times Square.

Very small only 2 toilets upstairs where the mezzanine is and huge line. Plus the theater was not even full. The building is beautiful. The Broadway show Akimbo was not what I expected at all. A lot of yelling and screaming on the screening kind of depressing.
