Tonight was actually our third time at the August Wilson Theatre albeit a totally different experience with the way the entire theatre has been transformed. A really fun show although I can’t say the same about their staff. From the panicking little sweaty girl with the headset squeaking “ you can’t stand here YOU CANT STAND HERE” as I was untangling my heel from the hem of my dress after coming up the stairs from the lounge, to the very large man screaming “RELAX!!” to the ladies in line for the restroom during intermission… these people clearly need to find some less stressful employment. Despite the military type regime once you leave the safety of your seat, the show was quite enjoyable and entertaining! But in all seriousness, people spend a lot of money to attend theatre, it’s a shame terrible staff can ruin an expensive evening.

The August Wilson Theater has been lovingly and painstakingly converted so that once you step through it's doors, you are no longer in New York City, but in fact you are transported to Berlin, right into the heart of the Kit Kat Club. With multiple bars, each featuring a dazzling array of performers and intricate detail, lighting and music that transport you to an entirely different time and place, and under the ever watchful eye of the club, you will experience Cabaret in a way I don't know any other show has managed to capture. From the moment you step in the door and are handed your complimentary shot of cherry schnapps, you ARE and audience member at the club, and are thus complicit in all that is to come. Absolutely 10/10 across the board, I can not recommend it enough. I would include pictures, but right before you receive that shot I mentioned, the staff places a sticker over your camera phone, because somethings must simply be seen to be believed.

We had Mezzanine seats for Cabaret and they were perfect for viewing the entire show. The actors performances were exceptional. The only reason I did not give the experience a 5 star was due to the LONG waits for women’s restrooms! Ugh!Also, do not purchase the pre-order drink tickets. Does not fulfill anything it said (no delivery to seat), you had to go to the bar.

It was a really cute experience. Was a little annoyed Eddie wasn't the lead when we went, we purchased tickets specifically tmbefore September 16th to see him.

The reconstruction of the theatre for this performance was spectacular. It made you feel like you were there in an intimate performance. Everyone in the show was phenomenal…each and every one of them gives it their absolute all. The choreography designed for the round stage was incredible. I have to say though, having seen Cabaret a few times and always loving it, the rendition of “Cabaret” in act II was the most emotional, talented, and memorable that’s been created. You FEEL it.

This is the first show where I've left before even the half! I really don't understand how this awkwardly written, poorly constructed play won an award. The actors were fine enough, but there was a lack of chemistry, the characters are super one dimensional and dry and I couldn't be bothered to stick around and "find out" what happens. On top of that, seats were extremely cramped (even for average height) and the people managing it did not know what they were doing. Can't believe people continue to give this 4 & 5 stars, it can only be described as bad burlesque for theatre snobs?

I was so excited for this show and roughly 3 weeks ago broke my leg. Was worried I wouldn’t be able to attend due to cramped seating and/or stairs I couldn’t navigate due to my seating location. The staff were so helpful, patient, and accommodating. They relocated my seat so I could enjoy the show.On to the show itself. I love the costuming and the way the show is choreographed. Don’t compare it to prior productions and you’ll have a wonderful experience. Cabaret is not your typical Broadway show that has a happy ending. The show starts out lively and exciting and then has a very sobering ending. Very relevant show. If you can afford to see this show, go see it! Eddie Redmayne is brilliant in the role.

Really enjoyed Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club!! The whole theater was part of the show and experience! We had the stage-side dining experience and loved every moment it created. Service was excellent.

The show is amazing. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the front of house at the theater/Kit Kat Club. I spent an extra $200 to be in the Pineapple Room. Complete waste of money and time. I would have been happier at my own seat before the show with a cocktail. The front of house staff is NOT FUN at all. They are merely people movers. Constantly yelling at people to move. Then they tell you that there will be a special announcement or "they will come and get you" for the Pineapple Room. Each person I asked about it told me something different. So I heard an announcement that if you are having dinner with us, please move to your seats. No mention of The Pineapple Room. So I didn't ask AGAIN because I didn't want to be annoying. I waited another 15 minutes. And again asked about the Pineapple Room. And they said there was an announcement. And I said yes.... for dinner and to go to your seats. I thought that was tableside seating. They said RUDELY.."Well, that means the Pineapple Room, too." Like I'm supposed to know. I said, "This is so confusing!" and the girl actually said to me, "it's supposed to be like that." Yeah... I don't think so. We tried finding the Pineapple Room. Again... everyone we asked was rude and just trying to rush us to move. We finally made it to the Room. The staff in the room was nice, and my two stars are for THEM except, we were totally rushed in there too because we were so late. The chairs and tables are so uncomfortable. You can't even reach your cheese because the table is so low. It's pretty awful all around. The Pineapple Room should be for people in the mezzanine. It was nice having a separate bathroom and no line at intermission, but it was so far from our seats that most of the intermission was spent just trying to fight the crowds to get there. The cheesecake was great. Again, we were rushed out to go back to our seats. By the time we got back, I had to go to the bathroom, and the attendant told me no, I had to go to my seat because the second act was about to start. Seriously?!The whole experience was just so miserable. I can't believe I spent $200 on that. I feel like an idiot. The show, entire cast, and band were incredible. If I went to see the show again, I'd go at 7:55 and just go right to my seat. Total fail Kit Kat Club. Boo.

this was our first time visiting this place in NY. My daughter made a reservation and we were happy to come and see the show Cabaret. > It was 2 of us: me and my mother 90 years old. My daughter also purchased ahead a bottle of champagne for us. We were escorted to the second floor and went there by the elevator due to Mom's walker. We were seated at the little table next to the elevator. I had my phone on and before the show - there was some pre-show music and some dancing done by the actors and actresses. Once I made 3 videos of 30 seconds each, I had 2 gentlemen coming to our table asking me to delete the videos. I thought that we couldn't take a video of the show, but not the video of us and the actors when the light was still on! I deleted the pictures, however, at that moment the person who seated us very rudely said: "I told you not to take the phone and not to take pictures!", he continued yelling at us, and after the 2 other people left he said to me: "Put your phone in the purse now!". I was so appalled to hear such disrespect and rudeness!During the first act, my mother who couldn't hear well asked me what did she say on the stage and I whispered to her ear what was said on the stage, the same person who seated us came up to me and said: "SHUT UP! YOU CAN'T TALK DURING THE SHOW". I almost cried. My day was completely ruined. When the first act was over, I went to look for the manager/supervisor. I was able to find one and quickly I told her what happened. She apologized and offered to move to another place, which I politely refused because it was hard with Mom to move anywhere at this point. She said that she would talk to this person and come upstairs. What happened after that I don't know, however, this guy didn't bother us during the second act of the show.We left the show (both of us) very upset and honestly because of this incident we couldn't enjoy the show at all. My birthday present ( 2 tickets to the show and parking at the garage) from my daughter - was completely ruined by the obnoxious, ignorant, disrespectful person at the theater.

The theatre’s cabaret club layout is so perfect for the performance. The rating however is for the Broadway show. Somehow I was expecting to be moved like the original 1972 film (seeing it on Broadway for the first time) but far from it. Gayle Rankin is brilliant though.

Firstly the theatre. August Wilson Theatre entered right into the spirit of the show. We entered by Door 1 where on touring the theatre cast members and musicians set the scene. Great bar and fantastic staff. Into the theatre we sat on the front row of the mezzanine with a great view of the stage. The theatre was very atmospheric aided by theatre goers dressed as part of the cast. The show started and all I can say is WOW. Eddie Redmayne and Gayle Rankin led a cavalry charge of brilliant cast members creating and presenting an astonishing show. The entire audience myself included get involved with a very Rocky Horror Show vibe of whistling foot stamping etc etc. A brilliant show which when back in New York we will go and see again. Treat yourselves. Go see this.

Great theater experience and show!! That Cabaret is still relevant today is genius and sad all at once. Must see!! The staff at the theater were extremely patient, kind & helpful to my group of guests and me. Jonathan made the walker experience easy. He & several others helped my 90 year old mom with the steps and lit up the walkway for her, allowing for her slowly moving self. Online seatgeak would not allow me to use my computer and app with same password so I went a tad early to get two of our tickets printed and the man there was also helpful.

This venue is amazing. It's designed so intimately that I don't believe there's a bad seat in the house! The staff throughout the venue are great and they even have a pre- performance show for Cabaret that's fun to watch. Check out the venue for a show! You won't be disappointed.

Absolutely gorgeous theater. With regards to the view there doesn't appear to be a bad seat in the houseHowever, the seats themselves are...well, uncomfortable may be understating it. I would say they are on par with a KouchTown torture deviceIf you're big or tall it's gonna be a bit uncomfortable. Even my wife who is a little thing complainded by the end.Past that, amazing theater, and amazing show

The way the space has been transformed is true theatre magic. Make sure to arrive early (60-90mins) to immerse yourself in the experience, grab some drinks, and have plenty of time to navigate to your seats. It’s a bit of a maze.

This was an incredible theater experience. The way they configured the entire theater has you stepping back in time, bringing you into the performance the moment you arrive. The show was amazing. We had one of the best theater experiences we’ve ever had.

Loved loved LOVED seeing Cabaret at this venue. It's such an emersive environment from the time you show your ticket until you walk out. The "theater in the round" setting was unique and absolutely worked with the show. And, even though we were in a balcony seat, we had a great view! So happy I was able to experience this show.

Don't go expecting your typical production. A unique take that creates its own DNA. Eddie makes the Emcee his own, and Gayle's performance asks us what if everything Sally says about herself is true and on the surface. Sit on the stage side, seats are comfier.Only complaint is bathroom is in the lowest floor, definitely a hike from the Mezz.

Great experience! Cabaret was terrific! This theatre is perfect for this show. The intimate feel, seating around the open circular stage, and options for either table service or various levels of seats. Even if you're short, you'll have a good view. Very well done. Ushers are nice and accommodating. The show has something for everyone. Eddie Redmayne, as Emcee, made the show perfect for me. What a talented person.Unfortunately, no pictures allowed, so none taken.

This is one of the older theaters on Broadway and it is lovely, well kept and really adds to the theater experience. I went to see FUNNY GIRL and the show was very good. My seat was row Q in the center orchestra and my view was superb. I could see everything including the facial expressions. Seats were comfortable enough. I did get a little tight with my long legs near the end of the show. The rest rooms are in the main lobby and it was hard how they managed the lines to them during the intermission. Overall the theater is comfortable and the views are great.

Super pretty. Great show. Would go again. Tight seats. One of our parties leg got pinched by the other seat as another person in our party sat down. No cup holders(older theater).Went to use the rest room after they opened the exit doors. They asked my fiancé as she was in the bathroom getting ready to shut the door to come out. They directed us to walk outside onto the sidewalk and go back in the front door to the main lobby bathroom. Would for sure for again just giving honest feedback.Got two alcoholic double drinks and a bottle of water $57 dollars. Souvenir cups at least.Row J seat 106-108

One of the most well run theaters that I have ever been to. Not a terribly big Theatre, and the only restaurant was located on the first floor, but they got everyone in and out very quickly. There is a person with a sign marking the end of the line, and also an attendant in the bathrooms, sending the next person in line to the next available stall. I was amazed at how quickly it moved. We loved funny girl. Lea Michele did an amazing job.
