It was a bit hard to find out seats initially because we didn't realize the seat numbers increased in increments of 2. Seats were fairly comfortable but there wasn't much legroom. We thoroughly enjoyed The Book of Mormon and found it to be very funny. We purchased Rush Tickets using the TodayTix app and despite having cheap seats (K12 and K14 in the back of the mezzanine), I felt we still had a great seat.

Stopped by this theater to see The Book of Mormon while in NYC. Overall, this is a great theater. They are very efficient moving folks into the theater and through the various lines, especially the bathroom during intermission. My 14 year old son thought one of the ushers was pretty scary. Before the show started, she was pretty loud, letting the folks know that who had empty seats next to them to not move. She even yelled at some couple shifting once the lights went out. Also, you read on the website about being seated once the show starts that it will be at the theater discretion. She was so strict about people moving seats, but she let someone be seated, causing a brief impact for folks during the first song. Overall, I would come back to watch a show at this theater.

I just saw The Book of Mormon today, and this theater really made the experience run smoothly.I lined up outside before the doors opened and there were no issues. Getting in the doors went very smoothly, they have metal detectors and a person checking bags. Don’t tell anyone this, but I had a full reusable water bottle and a few snacks for intermission (trying to save money where I can). The bag check was very cursory and he literally just opened it and looked inside, so within reason you can get away with a couple harmless items. For my actual seat, i was about 4 rows from the back. I didn’t see this as a hindrance and even though i’m 5’1 I had no issue seeing the stage. One thing I will note though, is that the first row in the back section has a railing in front of it. Some shorter people were having issues seeing over the railing, so you may want to sit one row back (row F)The ushers showing you to your seat are super helpful and knowledgeable. The bathrooms were clean and the line went very quickly. The only negative is that it’s not an accessible bathroom but they offer an off-site bathroom to those who need it to be accessible. I didn’t see this restroom so I can’t speak for it.The sound reached the back with no issues, the sound was clear and sounded good. The lighting was amazing and the chairs were comfortable. This isn’t a review of the musical, I know, but it was super funny :)Photos are from seat F5 if you’re wondering

Saw the Book of Mormon. I was initially looking for shows with storylines I was familiar with (Aladdin, Harry Potter etc) but Reddit said this show was really funny. 10/10 for humour!!!About the theatre- AC can get a little chilly , bring a cardigan if you can- very little legroom. Would avoid coming with large shopping bags. Literally no room 🥲- East to navigate via subway. Didn’t get lost, pretty straightforward

Great theater! I have seen The Book of Mormon twice now, each time seated in the Orchestra. Both seats were fantastic, and given how cozy the theater is, I would assume that the view from the mezzanine is great as well. The ushers are super helpful. Make sure you apply for the Book of Mormon lottery, and if you don’t win, go to the TKTS booth in Times Square!

Just saw The Book of Mormon musical last night. The show was great, but this review is about the theatre. It was smaller than I expected, but the staff was shockingly efficient at moving a sold-out house of people thru. Even during intermission, everyone had enough time to use the restroom and concession line. The theatre was clean and well kept. They definitely seem to value preserving a quality venue with regular maintenance. I'll gladly see another show here.

We were here to attend "The Book of Mormon" on Broadway. Great little theater. Because of the size there isn't a bad seat in the house (with the exception of some of the restricted view seats). It's a beautiful theater. Note: The rows are close together so there isn't much in the way of legroom. I had to turn slightly to the side and I am only 6 ft tall. Other than that it's a great place!

Had a great time seeing book of mormon here. seats are a little small, as to be expected in a theater but not bad otherwise. Loge had such amazing views and sound quality. we were a bit late due to subway trouble - arrived 7:05 for a 7pm show but they let us in right as the show began. nice friendly staff. i’ll be back !

I would like to start off with I had absolutely no idea what the play was about. My partner had been waiting years to come and watch it live. When we finally made it to New York it was one of the must see plays we planed to see. It was an absolutely amazing performance. The jokes are a bit raunchy and crude at times. I really enjoyed my self. It was my first play and I was not disappointed! If your in to this type of humor I would 100% recommend

Saw Book of Mormon here. I have to say the seats are very close together on the balcony. The rows were so tight together that I was uncomfortable, and my knees and legs were pressed too tight. I have not experienced this in any other Broadway house. It may be peculiar to the balcony. I would go for orchestra seating next time, but it was a last-minute decision, and there were no tickets in the orchestra level. Book of Mormon was funny, entertaining, and everything I expected it to be. But my knees hurt, and I am not very tall.

Great Theater, expensive snacks and drinks, on the plus side you get a discount on refills. I would recommend bringing in a water (I did without any issues). Seats were comfy and the view we had wad great. There is a bar on both floors & the lines moved quickly. However the bathroom lines were crazy, only one mens, one woman's bathroom located in the basement.

Pros: Charming atmosphere; Excellent acoustics; "Book of Mormon" was fantastic!Cons: Tight seating (be warned, tall friends!); Lengthy line for the women's restroomIf you can handle the cozy quarters and bathroom logistics, the Eugene O'Neill Theatre offers a unique and enjoyable Broadway experience. Just remember to wear comfy shoes, arrive early for intermission, and be prepared to belt out some hilarious tunes with your fellow theatergoers. And hey, maybe you'll even score some leg stretches during the standing ovations!

The Book of Mormon play at the Eugene O'Neill Theater is a well written musical comedy from the creators of South Park. I love this type of humor, and I really enjoyed the show. It's not really suitable for kids with all the cursing. The theater itself was fair. Seats are definitely not big enough for average sized Americans, and if there is a 6-foot person sitting in front of you, you will have a hard time watching the performance. Bathrooms weren't big enough and could not hand the intermission crowd. Security and staff were impressive. It's definitely a must-see New York Broadway play experience.

I recently had the pleasure of watching the Book of Mormon, and I must say, it was a truly entertaining and humorous experience. The show's clever writing and wit had me laughing throughout. However, it is important to note that the production does contain vulgar language and explicit content, so it may not be suitable for all audiences. The actors' performances were outstanding, showcasing their talent and dedication to their roles. Their delivery of the comedic elements was impeccable, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall experience. The theater itself has a charming vintage feel, which adds to the ambiance of the show. However, it is worth mentioning that the seating arrangement may not be the most comfortable. The seats are quite small, and the armrests are positioned in a somewhat awkward manner.Despite these minor drawbacks, the Book of Mormon is a must-see for those who appreciate sharp humor and exceptional acting. Just be prepared for some explicit language and ensure that you are comfortable with the content before attending.

Saw the Book of Mormon this after noon, the theater is gorgeous and the show was spectacular. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is the woman who was in charge of mezzanine rear left and the seats were on the small side. That woman was miserable and barking orders at everyone around rather than just just asking nicely if things weren’t done to protocol. She needs a lesson in customer service. All the other employees were super nice and accommodating. Unless u r smaller than 5’5 and weigh less than 150, u might find it kinda of tight. Theater and show were amazing!

We were initially worried we wouldn’t have a good view when we bought Book of Mormon tickets last minute, but were pleasantly surprised that even the far left back mezzanine seats (row K) had a great view! Intimate space for live performances. It seemed that all seats were good seats. The pics and video are from orchestra E 105. Great view of the entire performance. The staff was very friendly and helpful should you need help finding your seat or something else in the theatre. The restrooms and bar area were overwhelmed during intermission, so plan your drinks ahead of time. All guests need to get up for you to get to your seat. In some cases you have to walk to the aisle to let them get to their seats. Currently The Book of Mormon is performed there.

Theater is beautiful and staff run it VERY efficiently. My husband and I saw The Book of Morman (which we both loved!) and it was a packed house. Don't let the fairly plain exterior of this theatre fool you, the interior is one of the more lavishly decorated theatres on Broadway. Book of Mormon is a fantastic show and this beautiful theatre helps provide a great setting for it! The seats are VERY close together, I am 6' 2" and I was a bit crunch where I was, fortunately my seat was against a staircase wall so I could sit diagonally otherwise I would have been uncomfortable. It is of course an old theatre and this is to be expected. The staff are very friendly and had me in my seat very quickly. Mezzanine seats have very good views of the stage and I was very impressed with how good my view was for how cheap my ticket was.

Came here as many others did to see The Book of Mormon which was even more incredible than imagined. But this review is for the theater, not the show. The theater was great, seating was done in a timely manner, and even though the line to get in stretched around the block, it was a quick process and by having guides stationed along the street it was nice to have the bag security checks done before getting to the door. The theater itself is beautiful, even if the seating is narrow and those of us who are on the wider side may feel tight. Didn’t ruin the event whatsoever.
